hearing questionnaire
It’s often difficult for people to recognize that they may have lost some of their hearing… even if they know they’re missing out on what’s going on around them and even if their loved ones suggest they may have a hearing problem.
Part of the reason people resist getting hearing help is because they have misconceptions about what it’s like to wear hearing aids. But hearing aid technology has changed so dramatically that the devices are much smaller (making them almost impossible to see), with a more comfortable fit and improved sound.
The sooner hearing loss is diagnosed, the better your chances of helping correct the problem. Now may be the time to ask yourself the following questions see if you might have lost some ability to hear:
- Does it seem that people mumble more than they used to?
-
Do you have difficulty following a conversation in a crowded room?
-
Do people ask you to turn down the volume of the TV or radio?
-
Do you have trouble talking with someone a short distance from you?
-
Do you often need to ask people to repeat themselves or speak up?
-
Do you have trouble hearing the telephone ring?
-
Do you seem to hear better from one ear than the other?
-
Do you feel as if you hear, but can't understand speech?
-
Have you stopped participating in events or meeting because you can't hear well?
If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, you may have a problem with your hearing – and more than one "yes" strongly suggests the need for a hearing evaluation. Please contact us for more information.
